Boosy Cray

September 1, 2010

I had a chance to check out Boosy Cray at Momos last week.   I knew Justin Thompson, Jack Martin and Jonathan Konya had put something together but I didn’t know what to expect.  I did know without even listening to them that it would be something different.   Boosy Cray definitely has a unique sound with blues, jazz and punk rock influences.  I have always liked Justin’s bass playing with the Side Show Tragedy and with Boosy he continues on with that same energy.  Jacks guitar playing and Jonathans drumming definitley rounded off the trio and all three bring something a little different to the stage which is a really cool mixture that is hard to describe but definitely worth checking out.  After the gig I told Jack that I really liked their sound and he agreed and said that he definitely thinks there is something there.   If you ever have a chance to check these guys out you should.   www.boosycray.com
