I was just messing around with a photo of Justin Wade Thompson of The Sideshow Tragedy.  I like the old blue note album covers.  They always had great photography and design.

The Doors

I love old doors.  I got this door from my friends house that he was restoring in Los Angeles.  I asked him if I could take it and he was cool with it.  I took it home and once when I got it there I really didn’t know what to do with it.  I remember leaning it against my wall in my bedroom for a while staring at it.  I decided to paint it blue one day because I had some extra paint left over from a previous project.  I leaned it back against the wall and still didn’t really know what to do with it.  One day I bought this cool Milton Glaser poster that I’ve been wanting for a while.  When I had it framed and brought it home I noticed that the colors in the poster and door were similar.  I decided to hang it on the door and I really liked the way it looked with it.  At first glance a lot of people look at it and say,  Stevan you have a door in your living room.  After staring at it for a little bit, people end up getting the idea.   Just look at it this way, its just another cool way to hang up your artwork without putting a nail in the wall.

Downtown Austin

I road around today on my bike taking some pictures of downtown.  It started to rain a little but it wasn’t to bad.  I ducked in and out of parking garages.  My front tire ended up getting flat so I walked home with my bike.  That pretty much ended my day of shooting.
